i was a big fan of brendan fraser in his "mummy" days and i'm even more so after the recent GQ article.
my main takeaway from it was:
even if it was only for a moment,
and even though it only happened the one time,
and even though it seems like many men and almost every woman experiences much worse at some point,
better people than me can still be pretty damaged by that one brief violation
so it's okay & legit to feel a little bit fucked up about the time it happened to me

onnnnnnn the other hand
the public sympathetic outpouring for fraser seems grossly disproportionate to that for any woman or less-famous person who has ever told a similar (or often much worse) story
i don't really want to diminish his because i relate to it but let's not forget to boost up all the others
