the second song compilation is now out!! 50 minutes of excellent noise music from our lovely community!

check it out

I wonder if I could hack zola to generate pages for gemini and gopher. I think I'd probably have to write my own site generator for that though, which I'm not sure i'm up to doing (although it might be a good exercise and learning opportunity)

Today is #ComingOutDay and our mascot want's to support you with this big step.

If you can come out today safely I wish you all luck for this step and that everything works out well for you.

If you are struggling with coming out for whatever reason, maybe you can come out to yourself, this is a big step too. You have time to do the next step and you can look how it feels before going further. That's ok. 🏳️‍🌈 (1/2)

I wish I could make blog comments use mastodon. Would stop the shitheads who just troll me with fake names and emails.

I feel like when people invent words, it's a case of that person's status as to how it's interepreted.
Rich Hickey: Invents the word "decomplecting"
Clojure community: hmm, very wise
Me: uses the word "decomplecting"
People around me: *think I mispronounced "decompress"*

also, is there any list of things for it like inktober or is it just "make a loop every day"?

Work at Google. Work at Facebook. Work at Palantir. Heck, work at Phillip Morris or Exxon Mobil or Halliburton. But don’t you dare be proud of it. And don’t you dare tell me you’re working to bring about a better world for everyday people. Don’t you fucking even dare.

Night in the Woods spoilers

this mostly is related to when people have a set of unusal pronouns in a bio or something that almost nobody (or maybe literally nobody) else uses, which linguistically defeats the point of a pronoun. You're valid, but I don't understand it from a language perspective.

can somebody explain neopronouns to me? I have no issue with people using them, but I don't understand people who have their own specific sets of pronouns outside of the normal ones. I get things like xe/xer (although personally think that the singular they is fine) but when people have their own specific unusual pronouns it makes no sense. If each person uses their own unique set of pronouns, that kinda defeats the point of a pronoun and you may as well just use their name.

I'm pretty sure that I signed up to but I haven't had any contact about it for a few days so idk what's going on there

ukpol related but cute
