πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ are you kidding me?

IEC, ISO and ITU celebrate World Standards Day on 2020-10-14, but ANSI celebrates the same day a week later.

@dozens If that does not tell everything about standards we need to know.

@dozens THERE ARE 15 COMPETING WORLD STANDARDS DAYS.

xkcd.com/927/

(There are 350 remaining possible alternatives, 351 on leap years. Or otherwise depending on your calendar system.)

@dredmorbius @dozens By the pigeonhole principle, there will inevitably be at least some consensus πŸ˜›

@MadestMadness Mine shall ALWAYS be the One True Julian Calendar Leap Day , Lauds, World Standards Day!

@dozens

@dozens could be worse

ANSI could have misunderstood the date and scheduled it for the 10th day of the 14th month

or the 20th day of the 20th month, in the year 1014

@dozens they should have half on them on 12th January and the others on 1st December.
