I made this yesterday, not sure why I didn't post it:

"I was just playing around with some different sounds and came across this, which seems relatively pleasing, if simple."
@audiodude do u know music theory?
@sahil I do, to a fair degree. why?
@audiodude oh just curious how well u know it, im thinking about like what you can improve on, maybe its the mixing
@audiodude whenever i try to write melodies they're whack usually because the scales/theory i use is like corny
@sahil A little music theory goes a long way. Like what chords generally go together and what scales to play over those chords so, like you said, your melodies don't sound janky.
@sahil That said, too much (like I have) can be paralyzing because you don't want to break the "rules" too much and it sounds janky when you do, even though someone else might think it sounds good.
@audiodude yeah for sure, although as I keep making melodies I keep having ideas about music that wouldn't be possible if i had to make every melody and wasn't able to sample although i do love digging up some crazy scales and playing around with melodies on those
And a song I wrote tonight, kind of in the same spirit:

"Similar to last night's experiment with sounds, just trying to explore in freeform and see what comes out."
