The only problem with work requiring windows is that all my dev setup is in macOS, so I can't actually code while taking calls.
So, my solution is going to be to set up a linux box on my LAN to have all that set up in. Should work okay.

Okay, figured out how to make images show up from @transferlate on other instances. First, changed uploads to png, and then insert the full url into the toot. Problem solved!

So far I'm into how much Mastodon feels like every fictional dystopic cyberpunk BBS - the blooming politics of federations and collective vaporwave + witch + hacker imagery helps a lot. I'm living my own fantasy.
For me the hardest part of making a Mastodon bot was figuring out the OAuth dance to get my access token.
Twitter offers a UI that does this for you, so I made one for Mastodon! It works on any instance, but it does require you to run a `curl` command (that it generates for you) at the very end. Hope you find it useful!
